Blood Pressure

A study published on the Journal of American Medical Association – Network Open on February 9th, 2024 found that Taijiquan (Tai Chi) is more effective in reducing blood pressure in patients with prehypertension than aerobic exercise. Very importantly, the study was run for 12 months, and subjects took Taijiquan (Tai Chi) three times per week during this time.

This news study comes as a confirmation of previous one, available on PubMed, that found Taijiquan (Tai Chi) is more effective than brisk walking in reducing cardiovascular disease risk factors among adults with hypertension.
