Tai Chi Chuan Teacher Eduardo Molon

Eduardo Molon

I am the Taijiquan (Tai Chi) teacher at Chen Yingjun Tai Chi Ottawa, and an indoor student of Master Chen Yingjun, 20th generation heir of the Chen family from Chenjiagou, China.

I started my professional life at 18 years old, as an Airline Pilot. When i was 29, i was introduced to Taijiquan (Tai Chi), and having used the oportunities that job offered me, lived in Australia and China to learn from Master Chen Yingjun. After 10 years of indoor Taijiquan (Tai Chi) practice, I decided to dedicate full time to Taijiquan (Tai Chi), and began teaching in 2008. I have organized master Chen Yingjun’s seminars in Brazil for 9 years, published a Taijiquan (Tai Chi) magazine during that time. I have also had extensive Acupuncture training and have run an Acupunture clinic in Brazil for 8 years.
I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with an Italian background, and moved with my family to Ottawa, Canada, in 2018.

The pandemic took us all by surprise in 2020, and there was a lot of back and forth between online and in person classes. It wasn’t an esay year, but it was the year when I finished my first book on Taijiquan (Tai Chi), which I published in Spring 2021. The book is still only in Portuguese, my mother tongue, and I am working on an English version right now.

    TESTIMONIALS

    Rafael MazurekProduction Engineer

Eduardo is an outstanding Taijiquan (Tai Chi) teacher! I trained with him during some years and I can say that Taijiquan (Tai Chi) completely change my life. I used to be a stressed and anxious guy who frequently didn’t know how to keep focus and solve problems in everyday life. I became stronger, healthier and mentally more balanced after I started practicing Taijiquan (Tai Chi). I strongly recommend Eduardo and I’m very thankful for having had the opportunity of learning Taijiquan (Tai Chi) Chen Style with him.

    Patricia PrzybylskiLawyer

Professor Eduardo is a highly skilled Taijiquan (Tai Chi) teacher, as he received direct teachings from the Chen family, especially Master Yingjun. I trained with Eduardo for three years and witnessed his dedication and irreprehensible moral conduct.

    Oliver LorscheidMath Professor at IMPA

Eduardo was the most advanced and most important person in Tai Chi (Chen style) in Brazil until his departure to Canada. He was the only Brazilian teacher that reached level 3 so far (in the WTCA ranking), and he organized most of the seminars of the visiting masters Chen Yingjun, Chen Ziqiang and Jan Silberstorff. I had the fortune to have Tai Chi lessons from Eduardo for five years in Rio de Janeiro. Having had experience with several Tai Chi teachers of different styles, I can say that Eduardo was by far the best and most skillful teacher that I had for Tai Chi lessons on a weekly basis. He has an extraordinary sensitivity for the personal development, and he is very careful and patient to accompany this process with each student (we were training in a group of 10-15 students). Besides his extreme skills as a teacher, I like to stress that Eduardo is a very friendly person who is always open for questions and personal guidance of all kind. In so far: if you want to train Tai Chi, do it with Eduardo!

I started training Chen taijiquan under Eduardo Molon’s supervision in 2013. He is an extremely pedagogical teacher, cares a lot for minute details, both physical and conceptual. I hope he has a great deserved success in his new endeavor there in Ottawa! Regards!

Learning Tai Chi from Eduardo Molon was the best thing i have ever done for my health, not only because of the posture corrections, but also because it is a Meditation and stress control practice. Eduardo can translate Tai Chi Chuan from its chinese roots for the western culture, making an ethical Dao conduct a means for your body’s posture in your everyday actions.

    Anders Hentze

Eduardo is an amazing Tai Chi teacher who brings information and experience directly from the masters of the Chen family. His guiding and corrections made me experience new aspects of the inner processes in a playful and inspiring manner. We miss him a lot in Brazil, so please make the most of his stay in Canada!

I was a student of Eduardo for 3 years and it was one of the best experiences with martial arts I’ve had. His didactic is simple yet deep, and he shows true understanding of what he teaches. His close relation with masters Chen Yingjun and Jan Silberstorff also provided us with precious insights of their teachings.
I’m also an Aikido student (1st Kyu), and his respect and support for my other martial art was always impeccable. I’m sure I’m still going back to his classes in the future.

    Flรกvio PessoaSecretary-General of WCTA-Br

Eduardo Molon has significantly contributed for the spread of Chen family Taijiquan (Tai Chi) in Brasil, while he held the positon of Secretary-Genreal of WCTA-Br up to February 2018.
During this time, he was responsible for the strategic planning for growth of WCTA-Br, organized and promoted the seminars and training retreats taught by masters Maters Chen Yingjun, Jan Silberstorff and Chen Ziqiang in various brazilian cities, and edited and published the magazine belonging to our association.
Eduardo will certainly contribute for the growth and teaching of Chen family Taijiquan (Tai Chi) in Ottawa, Canada.

Eduardo Molon has been training with the best Taiji masters for over 20 years. He was the one who introduced me to Chen style over 10 years ago and has been guiding me on practice and teaching since ever! Simple and profound are his teachings. No words to express my gratitude to him and to Taijiquan (Tai Chi). Thanks so much!

I studied Qigong with Eduardo Molon from 2014 until his recent move to Canada. It was an excellent period, in which I had the opportunity to enjoy deep technical knowledge combined with a very efficient and effective didactic, not to mention the extremely gentle and careful person. I’ve had martial experience before, because I am a practitioner of Wing Tsun Kung Fu. I looked for Qigong as a way to improve balance and overall health, since I have Parkinson’s Disease. I have not regretted having studied and practiced Qigong, and I want to express my gratitude to Professor Eduardo Molon for years of fellowship and learning. I only do not keep studying with Professor Molon because I do not live in Canada.

    Marcelo Coutinho ViannaSchool Teacher

I am very lucky to have had Eduardo Molon as my teacher. He dedicates very seriously and humbly to studying and understanding the principles of Chen family Taijiquan (Tai Chi), and is very consicous of his craft. Eduardo is always looking for a favorable learning path for his students, according to the guidance of the Taijiquan (Tai Chi) Masters.
    Thank you Eduardo!

The best experience I’ve had with Taijiquan (Tai Chi) and martial arts in general. Very attentive teacher, and possessing extraordinary knowledge. Very dedicated to his personal practice, and also to his students’ learning. And what is more important: dedicated to keeping alive Chen family’s culture, offering us the highest quality of training. It is fortunate that Eduardo fills the role that many teachers don’t, both in Taijiquan (Tai Chi) practice and in its theory, which makes him the best Taijiquan (Tai Chi) teacher i had the pleasure to meet and learn from.

Fabio RolandProfessor of Biology at UFMG

Eduardo Molon, Brazilian and inheritor of the Chenโ€™s family Taijiquan (Tai Chi), is a professional dedicated to the cause of his students. He believes that the training routine brings harmony to the body and much confidence in living. Furthermore, he makes us deeply believe that Taijiquan (Tai Chi) rebuilds our essential balance; โ€œjust relaxโ€ he always teaches us to believe in this magical ability of Taijiquan (Tai Chi).
“Yes it is hard, and it takes time!” This is just one of the lines Eduardo says to comfort us when we face the truths about our bodies, truths that Taijiquan (Tai Chi) relativizes. I’ve learned that bad postural habits can be left behind, and we can give our bodies more space by living with a more balanced posture. Eduardo, in his serene and humanistic approach, in his reassuring professional stance, and in his friendly dedication, guides his classes with impecable technical rigour, inherited from the Chen family. We have practiced the most genuine Chen Taijiquan (Tai Chi) in Rio de Janeiro, and this was a priviledge.
The results of my Taijiquan (Tai Chi) practice with Eduardo were incredibly positive for my being, both body and mind – my bodily pains got weaker, my self was esteem raised, and my discipline, which had been hiding away, reappeared. Anxiety lessens, and strength heightens in my daily life.
And about my fellow Taijiquan (Tai Chi) students: Eduardo’s classes are also a place to foster friendship!

    Gustavo FilgueirasLawyer

I had classes with Eduardo for 2 years, he is an incredible Taijiquan (Tai Chi) Chen style teacher. He is close to the Chen family in China, therefore is able to bring from the source the best practices and ancient knowledge to his students. I strongly recommend Eduardo as a Taijiquan (Tai Chi) teacher!

    Cassius MendesMathematician

I’ve been practicing Taijiquan (Tai Chi) under Eduardo’s guidance since 2013. In that ocasion, I found him an excellent teacher. Different from all other teachers with whom I had trained throughout my teenager years, he stimulates us to get better, day after day, he doesn’t hide any secrets and explains everything with a great didatic and passion. I felt sad because he had to move, but I really feel thankful because I had a great opportunity in learning from him.

    Paulo MottaSoftware Engineer

I studied Chen taijiquan with Eduardo for 4+ years, and he is a great teacher. Very didatic and dedicated. He studies under the supervision of Master Chen Yingjun, who provides the best knowledge source that we, as students, would like to have.

    Pedro FayadIndustrial Enginner

Very good class. From the experience i had, i’d say that Eduardo is one of the best Taijiquan (Tai Chi) teachers in Brazil. Besides teaching a very good class, his website helps in the understanding of various concepts in Tai Chi that beginners don’t grasp completely. These, in their turn, help directing our practice, like how to focus on the posture and keep the corrections made by the teacher and the Master.
Taijiquan (Tai Chi) is an art that has long term effects, and each class makes you more peaceful, besides making your body work in a way i could never imagine.
I recommend it to all, the effects for both body and mind are very good.

    Pedro ChavesIndustrial Engineer

Each student gets personal attention during class. The posture and movement corrections are customized to explore the potential of each one, tough always respecting each individual’s limits.. The classes are complemented by theory explanations in the right proportion to help the students in their practice. Eduardo’s dedication to his own practice motivates the students to learn ever more. It would be nice if we had more professionals like him.

    Henrique Oliveira

I ha the chance to meet Eduardo Molon, and he fulfills all the requirements of a true Teacher. In my case, something interesting hapenned: i made a Google search for Taijiquan (Tai Chi) in Rio de Janeiro, and his name came up. I then called him, and he was super kind and told me everything i needed to know, but his class wasn’t near me. It was easy to feel that the energy, charisma and enthusiasm coming from him were something special, even magnetic. I chose to start the classes in spite of the distance, and I’ve been feeling deeply energized. Everyone working with subtle energies know how hard it is to tonify a subject’s energy. I believe that among all the practices iI’ve previously taken, Chen style Taijiquan (Tai Chi) was the only one really effective. I’m pleased to say that my choice was perfectly right.

    Leonardo ThuryPolitical Scientist

Practicing Taijiquan (Tai Chi) with Eduardo is getting in contact with something at a very high level, and very refined: learning Chen family Taijiquan (Tai Chi), which has been passed from generation after generation and from Master to Disciple. Add to that that Eduardo, belonging to this master-to-disciple chain, is a true Taijiquan (Tai Chi) Teacher. He lives what he teaches, and this is very inspiring. I recommend this practice to all.

    Sean McKaughan

Excelent class that focuses on the principles and essential movements of this art. Eduardo is the perfect guide both for beginners and advanced students alike. He is a Teacher that works with patience and dedication with each student. Thank you Eduardo!
